1853 - Founding of the company by Friedrich Jungheinrich as a small mechanical workshop in Hamburg, Germany.
1890 - The company starts to focus on the production of lifting and conveying technology.
1913 - Jungheinrich begins to develop and manufacture electric trucks.
1953 - The company starts to expand internationally, opening its first subsidiary in Austria.
1965 - Jungheinrich introduces the first reach truck with a hydraulic mast.
1972 - The company goes public with an initial public offering (IPO).
1989 - Jungheinrich introduces the first propane-powered counterbalanced truck.
1990 - The company expands into Eastern Europe, opening subsidiaries in Poland and the Czech Republic.
2005 - Jungheinrich acquires the MIAS Group, a leading manufacturer of warehouse technology.
2010 - The company introduces the first lithium-ion battery-powered forklift truck.
2015 - Jungheinrich celebrates its 160th anniversary and is listed on the MDAX index.
