1932 - NKT A/S was founded by H.P. Christensen as a small workshop in Nordkystens, Denmark.
1950s - The company started to focus on the production of electrical cables.
1960s - NKT A/S expanded its production to include low-voltage cables and started exporting to other European countries.
1970s - The company introduced its first medium-voltage cables and started to focus on the development of high-voltage cables.
1980s - NKT A/S acquired several companies, expanding its production capacity and product range.
1990s - The company introduced its first high-voltage cables with cross-linked polyethylene insulation.
2000s - NKT A/S expanded its business to the Asian market and established several joint ventures.
2010s - The company focused on the development of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) cables and acquired several companies to expand its product range.
2017 - NKT A/S was acquired by NKT Holding A/S, a subsidiary of the Swedish investment company, Nordstjernan AB.
