1914 - The Toro Company was founded by John B. Cassilly in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
1920 - Toro introduced its first power mower, the Toro Tractor Mower.
1940 - Toro developed the first hydrostatic lawn tractor.
1950 - Toro introduced the first walk-behind power mower with a rotary blade.
1960 - Toro acquired the Wheel Horse Products company, expanding its product line.
1970 - Toro introduced the first lawn tractor with a hydrostatic transmission.
1980 - Toro acquired the Irrigation Division of James Hardie, expanding into the irrigation market.
1990 - Toro introduced the first micro-irrigation system for agricultural use.
2000 - Toro acquired the BOSS snowplow company, expanding into the snow and ice management market.
2010 - Toro acquired the Rain Master irrigation system company, expanding its irrigation product line.
