1.b. Last Insights on CSL

Carlisle Companies Incorporated faced negative drivers over the recent 3 months. Weak construction conditions led to margin compression. Despite a 1% year-over-year revenue growth to $1.3 billion, organic revenues declined. The company's Q3 earnings beat estimates, but were marked by mixed results, with stable revenue supported by acquisitions and re-roofing, but declining margins. An increase in medical care costs and high debt levels added pressure. Carlisle's rating was cut to "Hold" by some brokerages, with one research analyst issuing a sell recommendation. The company, however, issued $1.0 billion of debt to provide additional financial flexibility and increased its share repurchase target to $1.3 billion.
