1968 - Daktronics, Inc. founded by Dr. Aelred Kurtenbach and Duane Sander in Brookings, South Dakota.
1971 - Introduced the first electronic scoreboard, the Sportsitter.
1977 - Developed the first LED scoreboard.
1980 - Introduced the first video display system, the Daktronics Video Display.
1994 - IPO (Initial Public Offering) and listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange.
2001 - Acquired the scoreboard business of White Way Sign Company.
2004 - Introduced the HD-16, a high-definition video display system.
2012 - Acquired the sports marketing and signage business of Nebraska Furniture Mart.
2015 - Introduced the new generation of video displays, the DVX.
2019 - Celebrated 50 years of innovation and leadership in the display industry.
