1927 - Littelfuse, Inc. was founded by Edward V. Sundt in Chicago, Illinois.
1930 - The company developed its first fuse, the ATO fuse, which was designed for the automotive industry.
1950 - Littelfuse began manufacturing fuses for the electrical industry.
1963 - The company went public with an initial public offering (IPO).
1970 - Littelfuse expanded its product line to include electronic fuses and fuseholders.
1980 - The company introduced its first surface-mount fuse, the 0402 fuse.
1990 - Littelfuse acquired the fuse business of the Italian company, Sacilor.
2000 - The company acquired the fuse business of the German company, ESKA.
2006 - Littelfuse acquired the fuse business of the American company, Teccor.
2012 - The company acquired the fuse business of the Japanese company, Hamlin.
2015 - Littelfuse acquired the fuse business of the German company, ON Semiconductor.
2017 - The company acquired the fuse business of the American company, IXYS Corporation.
