1936 - Carel Industries S.p.A. was founded by Luigi Carel in Venice, Italy.
1950s - The company started to focus on the production of thermoregulation valves and regulators.
1960s - Carel expanded its product range to include humidifiers and humidistats.
1970s - The company started to develop and produce electronic controllers and sensors.
1980s - Carel began to focus on the development of electronic controllers for the air conditioning and refrigeration markets.
1990s - The company expanded its international presence, opening subsidiaries in Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
2000s - Carel developed and launched its first range of electronic expansion valves.
2010s - The company continued to expand its product range, including the launch of its pCOsystem for the refrigeration market.
2018 - Carel acquired 60% of Carel USA, a leading provider of humidification and evaporative cooling solutions in North America.
