1991 - TomTom was founded by Harold Goddijn, Corinne Vigreux, and others in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
1996 - TomTom introduced its first product, the TomTom Navigator, a GPS navigation system for consumers.
2001 - TomTom launched its first satellite navigation device, the TomTom GO.
2004 - TomTom went public with an initial public offering (IPO) on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
2008 - TomTom acquired Tele Atlas, a digital mapping company, for €2.9 billion.
2011 - TomTom launched its first smartphone app, TomTom Navigation for iPhone.
2015 - TomTom acquired Autonomos, a German autonomous driving startup.
2019 - TomTom partnered with Microsoft to provide location-based services for Microsoft Azure customers.
