1954 - CPI Aerostructures, Inc. was founded as a small machine shop in Edgewood, New York.
1961 - The company began to focus on the aerospace industry, providing components for the Apollo spacecraft.
1970s - CPI Aerostructures expanded its product line to include aircraft structures and assemblies.
1980s - The company started to provide components for the F-14 Tomcat and F/A-18 Hornet fighter jets.
1990s - CPI Aerostructures began to supply components for the Boeing 777 and 737 aircraft.
2003 - The company went public with an initial public offering (IPO).
2008 - CPI Aerostructures acquired Weldmec, a provider of aircraft assemblies and components.
2011 - The company was awarded a contract to produce engine components for the F-35 Lightning II fighter jet.
2014 - CPI Aerostructures acquired Draloric, a provider of aircraft assemblies and components.
2017 - The company was awarded a contract to produce wing components for the Northrop Grumman E-2D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft.
