1966 - Sendas Distribuidora S.A. was founded by José Efromovich and his family.
1970 - The company started operating as a small distributor of food products in São Paulo.
1980 - Sendas expanded its operations to other states in Brazil, including Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais.

1995 - Sendas went public with an initial public offering (IPO) on the São Paulo Stock Exchange.
2000 - The company expanded its operations to other countries in South America, including Argentina and Chile.
