1989 - Melexis NV was founded in Belgium as a spin-off from the University of Leuven.
1990 - Started developing and manufacturing of automotive sensors.
1994 - Introduced the first generation of Hall-effect sensors.
1997 - Listed on the Euronext Brussels stock exchange.
2000 - Expanded into the Asian market with the opening of a sales office in Tokyo, Japan.
2002 - Acquired the German company, Micronas Semiconductor Holding AG.
2005 - Introduced the first generation of LIN (Local Interconnect Network) bus transceivers.
2007 - Acquired the American company, Xensor Integration BV.
2010 - Introduced the first generation of Triaxis sensors.
2012 - Acquired the German company, Cohu Electronics GmbH.
2015 - Introduced the first generation of Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensors.
2017 - Acquired the Italian company, Sofics BVBA.
2019 - Introduced the first generation of automotive-grade AI processors.
