1993 - Tower Semiconductor Ltd. was founded as a subsidiary of National Semiconductor.
1994 - The company began construction of its first fabrication plant in Migdal Haemek, Israel.
1996 - Tower Semiconductor Ltd. went public with an initial public offering (IPO).
1998 - The company expanded its capacity with the opening of its second fabrication plant.
2001 - Tower Semiconductor Ltd. acquired the semiconductor operations of National Semiconductor.
2008 - The company expanded into the power management market with the acquisition of Jazz Semiconductor.
2014 - Tower Semiconductor Ltd. acquired the Maxim Semiconductor fabrication plant in San Antonio, Texas.
2016 - The company expanded into the radio frequency (RF) market with the acquisition of the Crocus Technology fabrication plant.
2020 - Tower Semiconductor Ltd. was acquired by Intel Corporation for $5.4 billion.
