2008 - The Lion Electric Company was founded by Marc Bedard, a pioneer in the electric vehicle industry.
2011 - The company developed its first electric bus, the eLion, designed for the North American market.
2014 - Lion Electric launched its first commercial electric truck, the eTruck.
2017 - The company opened its first US-based manufacturing facility in Illinois.
2018 - Lion Electric received an order for 100 electric buses from the City of Montreal.
2020 - The company went public with an initial public offering (IPO) on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
2022 - Lion Electric partnered with the National Grid to develop a network of high-power charging stations across the US.
