1990 - American Vanguard acquired the agricultural chemical business of Ferro Corporation.
1995 - The company launched its first genetically modified organism (GMO) product.
2000 - American Vanguard acquired the agricultural chemical business of Occidental Chemical Corporation.
2004 - The company acquired the insecticide business of Bayer CropScience.
2010 - American Vanguard launched its first biological product, a biofungicide.
2014 - The company acquired the herbicide business of Monsanto Company.
2019 - American Vanguard celebrated its 50th anniversary.
