1890 - The company started to focus on investment management and stockbroking.
1929 - Barings Participation Investors survived the Wall Street Crash.
1970 - The company expanded its operations to Asia.
1980 - Barings Participation Investors started to offer investment management services to institutional clients.
1995 - The company was sold to the Dutch bank ING Group.
2004 - Barings Participation Investors was acquired by the Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company.
2016 - The company was rebranded as Barings LLC, a global investment management firm.
