1972 - The company went public with an initial public offering (IPO)
1980 - German American Bancorp, Inc. expanded into neighboring counties
1990 - The company acquired several banks in Indiana and Kentucky
2000 - German American Bancorp, Inc. expanded into Ohio
2010 - The company acquired Citizens First Bank of Bowling Green, Kentucky
2016 - German American Bancorp, Inc. acquired River Valley Bancorp
