1923 - Harte-Hanks was founded by Houston Harte and Bernard Hanks in San Antonio, Texas.
1924 - The company started publishing a weekly newspaper, the San Antonio Express.
1932 - Harte-Hanks acquired the Kansas City Call newspaper.
1955 - The company went public with an initial public offering (IPO).
1964 - Harte-Hanks acquired the Shoppers' Guide, a weekly advertising publication.
1972 - The company acquired the San Antonio Light newspaper.
1984 - Harte-Hanks acquired the Grand Rapids Press newspaper.
1997 - The company acquired the California Newspaper Partnership.
2000 - Harte-Hanks acquired the Direct Marketing Association.
2008 - The company acquired the information technology firm, Inergy.
2014 - Harte-Hanks acquired the marketing analytics firm, 3Q Digital.
2018 - The company was acquired by an affiliate of Veronis Suhler Stevenson (VSS).
