1992 - Life Time Group Holdings, Inc. was founded by Bahram Akradi.
1993 - The first Life Time Fitness center opened in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.
1996 - The company expanded to the Chicago market with the opening of a new center.
2000 - Life Time Fitness went public with an initial public offering (IPO).
2004 - The company expanded to the New York metropolitan area with the opening of a new center.
2007 - Life Time Fitness acquired the Minnesota Athletic Clubs chain.
2014 - The company was taken private by an affiliate of Leonard Green & Partners and T. Rowe Price Group.
2017 - Life Time Group Holdings, Inc. acquired the chain of clubs formerly known as Vision Quest Sport and Fitness.
2021 - The company went public again with a new IPO.
