1971 - National HealthCare Corporation (NHC) was founded by Dr. Carl E. Adams.
1972 - NHC opened its first healthcare center in McMinnville, Tennessee.
1984 - NHC went public with an initial public offering (IPO).
1990 - NHC expanded its services to include hospice care.
1994 - NHC acquired its first assisted living facility.
2000 - NHC expanded its services to include Alzheimer's and dementia care.
2004 - NHC acquired a majority interest in NHC Partners, a Medicare-certified home health agency.
2010 - NHC expanded its services to include rehabilitation therapy.
2015 - NHC acquired a majority interest in a hospice provider, expanding its hospice services.
2019 - NHC celebrated its 48th anniversary and continued to provide quality healthcare services to its patients.
