1913 - UMB Financial Corporation was founded as City Center Bank in Kansas City, Missouri.
1920s - The bank survived the Great Depression and continued to grow.
1950s - City Center Bank began to expand its operations through acquisitions and new branch openings.
1962 - The bank changed its name to United Missouri Bank.
1970s - The bank continued to expand through acquisitions and entered the trust business.
1980s - United Missouri Bank began to focus on commercial lending and expanded its presence in the Kansas City area.
1994 - The bank changed its name to UMB Financial Corporation and went public with an initial public offering (IPO).
2000s - UMB Financial Corporation expanded its presence in the Midwest through acquisitions and new market entries.
2010s - The company continued to expand its commercial banking business and introduced new products and services.
2014 - UMB Financial Corporation acquired Marquette Bank, expanding its presence in the Kansas City area.
2017 - The company acquired Rezac Commercial Real Estate, expanding its commercial real estate capabilities.
